ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 is here, and it's live on HeyOz. Generate a full 30-second spot in a single pass, guide it with as many as 50 references across image, video, and audio, and edit a finished shot down to the timestamp without re-rolling it. Sound is generated with the picture. Pick it from the model list and start.
Four upgrades over Seedance 2.0, all live today: a 30-second clip in one generation instead of 15, up to 50 references in a single pass, timestamp-level editing on a shot that's already finished, and a cleaner, less synthetic look. On HeyOz it renders up to 1080p.
The same three steps as every model on HeyOz — pick it, prompt it, refine it.
Choose Seedance 2.5 from the model list and set your duration, anywhere up to 30 seconds.
Describe the spot and attach references to guide it — as many as 50 in one generation, across images, video, and audio: the SKU, the packaging, the talent, a voiceover track.
Generate, then refine. You can edit a region of a finished shot — swap a background, or change one element at a chosen timestamp — without regenerating the whole clip.
Everything below is drawn from ByteDance's July 31, 2026 launch of Seedance 2.5 and reflects what you can actually generate on HeyOz today. We've left out the specs the vendor hasn't published rather than fill the gaps.
Seedance 2.5 generates 30 seconds in one pass — double Seedance 2.0's 15 — so a standard paid-social or broadcast slot comes out as one deliverable, with no segments to stitch and no seams to hide. Need longer? Extend the clip across multiple rounds, and it holds the same camera, cast, and lighting from the first frame to the last.
Feed in up to 50 references in a single generation — as many as 30 images, 10 video clips, and 10 audio tracks. For an ad, that's the real SKU from several angles, the packaging, the talent, and a voiceover, all guiding one shot. Seedance 2.0 topped out at 12 reference files, so 2.5 more than quadruples the ceiling.
2.5 adds timestamp-level editing: redraw a region of a finished shot, or swap a background with lighting that stays physically consistent, while the rest of the clip stays exactly as it was approved. It's the difference between adjusting a spot and re-rolling the whole thing to get one change.
Audio and video come out of the same generation rather than getting bolted on afterward, so sound lands with the footage. Supply a voiceover or music track as one of your references to steer it, or turn it off for a silent cut. And across the board the output reads less synthetic than 2.0 — cleaner textures, skin, lighting, and colour.
Where a 30-second single pass, a 50-reference ceiling, and timestamp editing change how an ad gets made.
Yes. ByteDance launched it on July 31, 2026, and it's live on HeyOz — pick Seedance 2.5 from the model list and generate.
The latest video model from ByteDance's Seed team, released July 31, 2026. It generates a 30-second clip in a single pass, takes up to 50 references across image, video, and audio, generates native audio together with the picture, and lets you edit a finished shot down to the timestamp.
Four things. Duration: 30 seconds in one pass, up from 15. References: up to 50 inputs — 30 images, 10 video clips, and 10 audio tracks — up from 12 files. Editing: timestamp-level edits and background swaps on a finished shot, beyond 2.0's edit-and-extend. And a cleaner, less synthetic look across textures, skin, lighting, and colour.
Up to 50 files in a single generation: as many as 30 images, 10 video clips, and 10 audio tracks — product shots, packaging, talent, a voiceover or a music bed. Point to each one in your prompt to steer where it lands.
Yes — audio and video are generated together in the same pass, so sound is in sync with the footage rather than added afterward. You can steer it with a reference track, or switch it off for a silent cut.
On HeyOz, Seedance 2.5 renders up to 1080p — 480p, 720p, and 1080p. You'll see a '4K' figure quoted for 2.5 in some write-ups; that number actually belongs to a separate Seedance 2.0 upgrade announced around the same time, and the two have been mixed up across a lot of coverage. We'd rather state what you actually get here.
It runs on HeyOz credits, like every model on the platform. A longer clip or a higher resolution costs more than a short draft, so it's worth generating a few seconds at 480p while you dial in the prompt, then taking the winner up to full length and 1080p.
Up to 30 seconds in a single generation. For a longer piece you can extend a clip across multiple rounds, and it holds the same camera, cast, and lighting across the extensions.
